Quick Bite

Corner Bistro

Hours: Mon, 7 am to 5 pm; Tues–Sat, 7 am to 9 pm; Sun, 8 am to 5 pm

Price: $

Style: A busy spot for business meetings at breakfast and lunch; an elegant, affordable bistro at night.

Don’t Miss: Crabmeat panini ($7.75) jammed with broiled crabmeat and topped with mozzarella, served with fries and spicy mayonnaise. For lighter fare, go with the fresh mozzarella salad ($8.50)—a generous mix of chopped tomatoes, artichokes, roasted red peppers, red onions, olives, and capers, dressed with a tangy honey-balsamic vinaigrette that also is nice as a dip for the accompanying pita. For dessert, brownie overload ($5.25) is dense chocolate covered in mounds of whipped cream. Not a chocoholic? Try the apple cake ($5.25), a warm, spicy take on Mom’s classic.

Heads Up: The outdoor tables are tough gets in warm weather, especially at breakfast and lunch, but they provide the best people-watching in downtown Haddonfield. Expect crowds at lunch on school days—Corner Bistro is within walking distance of both the middle and high schools. BYO.

The Scoop: Corner Bistro used to be a diner called 59 East. The interior was redesigned and the menu updated to include more dinner entrées and Mediterranean options. Prices have stayed about the same. Dinner—usually quieter and less crowded than breakfast and lunch—brings out linen tablecloths and low lighting.

What are Quick Bites? Short takes on casual, affordable dining.
