Don’t Miss: Start off with the miso soup ($2), the crisp garden salad with house-made ginger dressing ($2.50), or the edamame ($3.75), a large portion of steamed soybeans, lightly salted and dipped in soy sauce. Mixed tempura ($6) with fried shrimp and vegetables or the sweet potato tempura ($4.75) are also good choices. Traditional sushi rolls include the Boston roll ($1.75) with Boston lettuce, shrimp, and cucumber, and the Philadelphia roll ($4.50) with salmon, caviar, avocado, and cream cheese. Beyond sushi, there’s the beef teriyaki ($15), a barbecued prime shell-steak marinated in teriyaki sauce and served with a garden salad, hijiki (a vegetable closely related to seaweed), and white rice. Don’t forget to top off your meal with their famous (and very delicious) Mai Tai ($8).

Heads Up: Weekends get extremely crowded, so if your party is more than two, it may be tough to get a seat at the conveyor belt.

The Scoop: The conveyor belt has booths and bar-style seating—the best seat in the house. It’s where the most popular sushi shimmies along on colorful plates, for the taking (it also gives you the opportunity to have the sushi chef make anything you want). Each plate’s color signifies the price—your table will receive a color decoder. At the end of the meal, the waiter collects the plates to calculate the bill.
