Style: Located on the lower level at the rear of the Best Western Morristown Inn. Potted palms, white string lights and pink linens conjure a casual, Caribbean vibe.
Don’t Miss: The crunchy, sweet fried plantains ($2.50) and the Jamaican patties ($2.50), flaky pastry filled with spicy beef, chicken or veggies. Classics include curried goat ($9.50), oxtails ($12) and jerk chicken ($9.50). Seafood dishes, such as curried shrimp and red snapper ($12.95)—prepared jerked, steamed, stuffed, roasted or brown stewed—are fresh and flavorful. Main courses come with traditional rice and beans and plantains. Rasta pasta ($8.95)—penne, jerk chicken breast, sundried tomatoes and broccoli in light cream—is a house specialty. Authentic favorites such as roti (flat bread, also served stuffed) and hearty stews are available, as are non-Caribbean dishes, including fish and chips ($5.99), wraps ($6.50–$7.50) and deli sandwiches. Rum-flavored bread pudding ($4.95) and carrot cake ($4.95) can send you out the door with a smile.
Heads Up: Hibiscus hosts live jazz several nights a week and at Sunday brunch.
The Scoop: A BYO with Jersey wines by the bottle and half bottle for purchase.
