Style: Comfortable, eclectic cafe. Lighted stained-glass dome adds to the airy ambience.
Don’t Miss: Morning sunrise vegetable-and-herb omelette ($7.50) with (deep breath) eggplant, asparagus, tomato, basil, rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano, and a hint of garlic. For lunch, the MoonBird panini ($9.75) has grilled rosemary chicken breast, baby spinach, roasted peppers, and provolone, brushed with extra-virgin olive oil. MoonGrill bruschetta ($11.95) is toasted ciabatta topped with grilled asparagus, roasted red peppers, eggplant, and fresh mozzarella, finished with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. MoonDragon stir fries red and yellow Holland peppers, Portobellos, asparagus, yellow squash, snow peas, and roasted garlic, served over crackling fried rice and a side of vegetable spring rolls with a basil-shallot dipping sauce ($13.95). Phew! Desserts, such as the JavaMoon chocolate eruption, are brought in from local bakeries.
Heads Up: The staff is friendly, but service tends to be a little slow. The dining area is large, but tables are close together.
The Scoop: JavaMoon is all about fresh ingredients and a friendly attitude. Everything is presented with style, including a sprig of fresh rosemary placed on many dishes, symbolizing friendship.
What are Quick Bites? Short takes on casual, affordable dining.
