Bright, eclectic Mexican eatery with apt décor on every wall. Although the place is small, there are plenty of tables spread about for the many daily customers. Outdoor patio available in warmer weather. 

THE SCOOP

“Bringing the vibrant spirit of Mexico City to New Jersey” is the stated mission of this 2021 opening. Casual to upscale favorites dot the detailed menu. Portions are generous.

THE MENU

Breakfast starts at 7 am every day. A selection of three-egg skillets come with your choice of cheese and fixings. Try the Picante, with home fries and homemade chorizo, topped with salsa. Mexican flavors spice up the omelet options and are served with rice and beans. For lunch or dinner, start with the excellent guacamole. Tacos, gorditas and chimichangas are substantial. Empanadas (chicken, ground beef or cheese), also excellent, are big enough to share. Don’t miss the carnitas (shredded pork). As for quesadillas, succulent house-made pulled pork generously fills two tortillas and comes with spicy sauce. Must try? Chicken tortilla soup. And look for the daily specials.
