THE MENU

The centerpiece of the extensive menu is Malaysian specialties, including belacan—eggplant and string beans sautéed with shrimp paste—and other stir-fry dishes with vegetables or mango, which you customize with your choice of protein. But those with a hankering for Thai, Chinese, Indian or Japanese will find their favorites, too. There are rice bowls, steamed dumplings, Thai curries, pad Thai, crispy duck, coconut shrimp, Indian chili chicken roti, and ramen, among others.

The beverages also cross cultures, with Malaysian milk teas and coffees, lychee drinks and more. Unlike many Asian restaurants, though, there are several tempting desserts, including chocolate lava cake, mango sticky rice and mochi ice cream.

HEADS UP

Don’t toss the mysterious-looking hard candies that come with your bill. They’re sour plum and delicious; the owner gets them in Chinatown.
