Style: The casual atmosphere centers on the bar, with dim lighting that works well for the small dining room.

Don’t Miss: Start with the mozzarella salad ($9) served with fresh tomato, basil pesto and roasted red peppers. If you’re craving pasta, look no further. The penne vodka ($13) is exceptional, and the portion massive. You’ll easily have leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch. Outstanding entrées include the shrimp Bella Donna ($22) in a rich cream and citrus sauce over roasted vegetables. The chicken arrabbiata ($17) combines strips of chicken breast and sausage over hearty tomato gravy. For dessert, try the tiramisu ($6), swimming in coffee and whipped cream.

Heads Up: Mangia Bene is located next to the Flemington Ramada, but don’t get discouraged by the tractor-trailers parked outside.
