STYLE

Nearly everything in this beautiful space is Instagrammable—from the colorful faux wisteria hanging from a tree in the center of the room, to the walls covered in greenery and silk flowers, to the photogenic food, milkshakes and coffee drinks served. Takeout also available.

THE SCOOP

In May 2021, owners Jack and Sophia Bermeo opened Sugar Tree downtown to help people create social experiences. Jack brought his background in entertaining as a wedding DJ.

THE MENU

The brunch menu is small but curated; it has the requisite avocado toast, but also more unusual items such as lobster tostada, deep-fried cinnamon toast, chai-latte waffles and curry-chicken sliders. The signature shakes include chocolate salted caramel, red velvet and Funfetti.

HEADS UP

Reservations are accepted only for parties of 10 or more. The café is available for private events in the evening. Each room has its own different festive décor (one features bookshelves and leather couches; another has a wall of fake roses and a sign that says Babe Cave). People dress accordingly and take pictures of themselves living it up.
