Quick Bite: Di’Nics

The Criniti family opened Di’Nics in West Collingswood Heights in 1999 to give South Jersey some cheesesteak authenticity.

Di’Nics
West Collingswood Heights
310 Blackhorse Pike
856-931-6328

Open: Breakfast, lunch and dinner, Mon-Sat; lunch, Sun

Price: $

Style: A little red-and-white roadside building surrounded by parking spaces, Di’Nics specializes in Italian-style roast pork or roast beef sandwiches with melted cheese.

The Scoop: The Criniti family opened Di’Nics in 1999 to endow South Jersey with some South Philly cheesesteak cred. (They have no connection with Philadelphia’s Tommy DiNic’s.)

The Menu: The definitive sandwich here just may be the roast pork with extra sharp provolone and garlicky broccoli rabe (pictured). The cheesesteak is a different animal, made with strips of griddled ribeye and best with provolone or American cheese. Italian cold sandwiches (hoagies, in the prevailing Philly terminology) can be loaded with Italian long hot or sweet peppers. Breakfast sandwiches (with scrapple an option) are served all day.

Heads Up: There’s a $10 credit card minimum. Free soda refills are no longer offered. Sandwiches are juicy, so if you’re taking out, grab plenty of napkins.
