Don’t Miss: The Treehouse is first and foremost a coffee house. Try Randy’s Blend ($1.40-$2.20), which is named after owner Randy Van Osten—a medium-bodied mixture of Central and South American coffees. The hot, spiced apple cider ($1.80-$3.65) is perfect for cold days, too. Breakfast items, with vegan flair, include the hummus melt ($4) and vegan sausage, egg and cheese on your choice of bread ($4). For lunch, try the Italian Stallion ($7.50), a tasty sandwich made with faux chicken (and cheese if you’re not averse to dairy). For meat lovers, there’s the Jenini Rancher ($7.50), which is a sandwich packed with chunks of real turkey, not processed lunch meats. There are also a variety of salads ($3.50–$7) and tasty desserts, including ice cream ($1.10–2.10) and brownies and cookies ($3.75).

Heads Up: The Treehouse gives kids as much room as adults—they have a play area and a large selection of used children’s books. If you’re planning to order food, make sure you’re not in a hurry—it’s not fast food, but hand prepared by a small staff, so factor in some time.

The Scoop: The Audubon location is much larger than their previous spot in Collingswood, and allows the owners to have in-store events. They also have a location in Cherry Hill (suite 111, building 2201 Route 38) called the Treehouse—Branched Out.
