JAMIAN’S FOOD AND DRINK IN RED BANK
STYLE
Funky neighborhood spot with lots of seating at bar, tables and booths. The vibe is hip—brick walls hung with work of local artists, tin ceilings overhead.
THE SCOOP
Opened in 2001 (under a different name). Owner Jamian LaViola rebranded as Jamian’s in 2008, adding a patio in 2013 and expanding further in 2018.
THE MENU
Casual eats and crafty cocktails. Basil piña mezcalita? Smoky mezcal melds with fresh basil, lime, pineapple, triple sec and splash of club soda. Or choose among two dozen beers and an ample wine selection. Wings are a good start, offered as Buffalo, barbecue, Thai sweet chili-lime or house dry rub. Entrées include an 8-ounce Angus burger and coffee-rubbed, Porter-braised, short-rib grilled cheese on baguette with horseradish-chive spread. Pizzas, including garlic shrimp scampi, candied bacon and caramelized onion, can be had on traditional or cauliflower crust (vegan cheese available).
HEADS UP
The venue hosts a weekly trivia night and six nights of live music, which draw a big crowd, especially reggae nights.
