STYLE

Italian restaurant meets sports bar at this sister property to upscale neighbor Ristorante MV. Accurately, Trattoria MV—or “the Trat,” as those in the know call it—describes itself as “Sunday sauce meets Sunday football.”

THE SCOOP

As evidenced by the well-heeled crowds that regularly flock to the large, bustling Ristorante MV, Pasquino and Michael Vitiello’s restaurant is a fun, popular spot for a night out. So is the Trattoria. It also offers great Italian food and an upbeat vibe, but in a smaller, more casual environment, with a large bar, high tables and a friendly waitstaff. Seating is first-come, first-served.

THE MENU

Fresh Italian antipasti (try the house-made mozzarella!), salads, pastas, baked dishes, and fish- and meat-based entrées, plus a nice selection of panini on house-made bread. The massive chicken parm sandwich is a must. The full bar with creative cocktails, wine and beer is worth toasting.

HEADS UP

Sunday is a big day at the Trattoria, and the restaurant features a special old-school food item like classic Sunday sauce, chicken Savoy, manicotti or eggplant rollatini. Happy hour runs daily from 3-6 pm, where all bottled beers are $4.50, house-brand cocktails are $8, and wine specials run from $8-$10/glass.
