Style: As diners make their way past the aging brick entry corridor, an array of ebony and cedar seating is revealed and spread out neatly alongside several towering fermentation tanks fashioned from copper and stainless steel. The juxtaposition of brick, wood, and metal brings a certain sense of sturdiness to the atmosphere, which only continues upstairs in the more intimate loft area. Vaulted ceilings give an open-air feeling, as well as a pleasantly muted echo among diners.

Don’t Miss: Classic onion rings—lightly battered Vidalia onions with panko crumb breading, cooked to a crisp and flavorful perfection ($4.50). Fennel salad, a savory mixture of arugula tossed with mandarin-orange slices, toasted pine nuts, lemon, olive oil, and fresh goat cheese ($10). Fish and chips, beer-battered Maine cod set beside house fries and tartar sauce ($14.50). Striped bass, served atop quinoa and accompanied by roasted peaches ($24). Oyster po’ boy, served in a caper lemon rémoulade, mixed greens, tomatoes, and house fries ($14).

Heads Up: Despite ample seating spread over two floors, Triumph can still be crowded. Call ahead for reservations or go to triumphbrewing.com.

The Scoop: The beer is brewed on the premises right before your very eyes, with brewery tours available daily. Pumpkin Ale is a seasonal favorite among the regulars, while other brews on tap include Honey Wheat, Oatmeal Stout, and Bengal Gold IPA.
