1. Investing in Our Children

The Investors Foundation provided the Kidsbridge Tolerance Center in Ewing with a $5,000 grant that will enable 200 students from Trenton’s elementary and middle schools to visit the center. 2. Preparing Young People to Succeed in a Global Economy
Valley National Bank donated $10,000 to Junior Achievement of New Jersey (JANJ) to help fund their financial education programs for the 2017 school year. Marking the occasion were, from left, Linda Persichino, Catherine Milone, Nancy Moran and a JANJ mentee.
3. Jingle Bell Run 5K Benefits Children’s Specialized Hospital

The Mills at Jersey Gardens made an $11,250 donation to Children’s Specialized Hospital. The funds were raised during the sixth annual Jingle Bell Run 5K. 4. Hearts of Gold

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice’s annual Hearts of Gold Gala raised more than $225,000 for Samaritan’s programs and services. 5. Supporting Public-Safety Organizations in the Tristate Area

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation donated $121,400 worth of equipment to 11 public-safety organizations in the tristate area, including a $1,300 defibrillator for the Florham Park Police Department. 6. Transforming Young Lives Through Jazz

The ninth annual Jazz House Kids Body & Soul benefit raised close to $100,000. From left, board members Bryon Phelps, Sandor Bondorowsky, Susan Korones Gifford, Hilary Lane Apicella, Margarethe Laurenzi, Melissa Walker, Fred Smagorinsky, Roberta Baldwin and Terry Woodard enjoyed the evening.
