Giving Back: More Than $570,000 Raised for Jersey Shore University Medical Center

1. Golfing for Good

From left, Dylan Lloyd; John Lloyd, co-CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH); Dr. Michael Lospinuso, trustee of HMH; and Burt Barham, trustee of Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation, tee off at the 34th annual Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation Golf Classic. The event raised more than $570,000 in support of cardiac care and other programs at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

2. Mansion in May

This year’s Mansion in May raised $1.5 million for the Center for Nursing Innovation and Research at Morristown Medical Center. Enjoying the event were Dannette Merchant, left, and Dr. Sameer Merchant.

 

 

 

 

 

3. Making Meals for the Homeless

Connie Charney, left, founder of Food for Thoughts Cards; Bill Gulden, manager of Madison’s Super Stop & Shop; and Salvatore Minardi of Salvatore Minardi Salon in Madison gathered to make 720 sandwiches to be distributed to the homeless by Summit’s Bridges Outreach.

4. Generations Gala

The seventh annual Generations Gala raised $180,000 in support of the Adult Day Center of Somerset County. Enjoying the event were, from left, Jonathan Kalafer, Josh Kalafer, gala honoree Steve Kalafer of Flemington Car and Truck Country, and board member and gala chair Ken Scherer.

5. Support for the Sussex County YMCA

Lakeland Bank donated $100,000 toward the Sussex County YMCA expansion project. 6. Backpacks for Veterans in Need

Wellness and Veterans Engaged (WAVE) raised over $10,000 at Stumpy’s Hatchet House for Backpacks for Life, a nonprofit that provides support for homeless veterans. Supplies such as toothbrushes, hand warmers, lip balm and deodorant were also collected to help give more fully equipped backpacks to veterans in need.
