Find a Select Surgeon - Plastic Surgery

Changing your physical appearance, whether for medical or cosmetic reasons, can change your life as well. When undergoing such a transformation, it’s critical to work with the most highly skilled surgeons.

New Jersey Monthly is proud to announce the 2025 edition of the Select Surgeons Plastic Surgeons list, an elite grouping of the state’s top doctors performing plastic surgery across 27 procedure categories. This distinction is based on a number of criteria, including experience, qualifications, surgical results, and reputation. Only the top doctors in each category are named to the Select Surgeons Plastic Surgeons list.

The list is based on a 360-degree analysis of potential surgeons, incorporating as much relevant objective information as possible. The selection process targets the top surgeons for 27 different procedures so patients can find the most appropriate surgeon for their needs.  View our methodology here.

About Dr. John Paul Tutela

As a third-generation physician, I continue to elevate the boutique, concierge practice I founded in 2014, which now includes a new location in East Hanover. I remain focused primarily on breast and body cosmetic surgery as well as breast cancer reconstruction. With a physician assistant, registered nurse, and two aestheticians on staff, my practice also offers a full range of the latest med spa services, from the latest non-surgical injectables, including Botox® and fillers, to laser hair removal, facial resurfacing, microneedling with PRP (platelet-rich plasma), chemical peels, and a signature DiamondGlow® facial.

Also available is BroadBand Light (BBL®) therapy, which targets skin discoloration, and HALO® laser treatments to address skin tightening, fine lines, and wrinkles. I also perform “mommy makeovers,” which can include tightening abdominal muscles, trimming excess skin, liposuction, and breast-lifts with or without implants. It truly is a restorative surgery. It’s always inspiring and empowering for a woman to give priority to herself after going through pregnancy, breastfeeding, and child-rearing.

The patient experience is focused on making them comfortable during the entire process, from their initial inquiry through recovery. My patients receive my cell phone
number and have direct access to me at all times. My wonderful staff plays a key role in each patient’s journey.

The work I do gives my patients an opportunity to restore a shape to their body that they recognize and that makes them feel good. In many instances, it acts as a reinforcement and continual motivation to perpetuate a healthy lifestyle and to give priority to their body. To be a part of that process for our patients is a great feeling for both my staff and myself.
