New Jersey Monthly is proud to announce the 2025 edition of the Select Surgeons Plastic Surgeons list, an elite grouping of the state’s top doctors performing plastic surgery across 27 procedure categories. This distinction is based on a number of criteria, including experience, qualifications, surgical results, and reputation. Only the top doctors in each category are named to the Select Surgeons Plastic Surgeons list.

The list is based on a 360-degree analysis of potential surgeons, incorporating as much relevant objective information as possible. About Dr. Joseph Peter Fodero

As a proud New Jersey native who celebrated my 25th year in private practice last year, I still enjoy my job as much as I did when I started. My practice focuses solely on cosmetic procedures for the face and body, many of which I perform at my 2,800-square-foot Florham Park office. Opened in 2023, it was specifically designed to meet patient needs, including an on-site operating room where I can perform certain surgeries.

 

I’m nationally recognized for face-lifts and awake face-lifts, and I have lectured on those topics around the United States for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. I was named one of the top face-lift surgeons in the United States by Newsweek magazine in 2023 and 2024. In addition to those procedures, I perform surgery on eyes, noses, and breasts, along with body contouring, including popular “mommy makeovers” and arm-lifts. I also offer injectables, including Botox® and fillers, and laser treatments, all of which I do myself.

 

I love being a surgeon. I’m here to do good work and be part of my local community. I work very hard to make my “boutique practice” special, and I prioritize quality over quantity. My goal has always been to be a surgeon who does exquisitely good work and has a great staff that takes really good care of people. The proof of that is the fact that patients often send me their friends and family members for care. I am extremely grateful for all of our patients and the trust they place in me. I thoroughly enjoy the connections I make with each one.
