Find a Select Surgeon - Plastic Surgery

Changing your physical appearance, whether for medical or cosmetic reasons, can change your life as well. When undergoing such a transformation, it’s critical to work with the most highly skilled surgeons.

New Jersey Monthly is proud to announce the 2024 edition of the Select Surgeons Plastic Surgeons list, an elite grouping of the state’s top doctors performing plastic surgery across 26 procedure categories. This distinction is based on a number of criteria, including experience, qualifications, surgical results, and reputation. Only the top doctors in each category are named to the Select Surgeons Plastic Surgeons list.

The list is based on a 360-degree analysis of potential surgeons, incorporating as much relevant objective information as possible. The selection process targets the top surgeons for 26 different procedures so patients can find the most appropriate surgeon for their needs.  View our methodology here.

About Dr. Laurence M. Milgrim

I’m proud to be one of the few elite doctors in New Jersey who is double board certified in otolaryngology and facial reconstructive surgery, which makes me an expert in facial surgery reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Having been awarded multiple honors, including Castle Connolly Best Doctor in New York and New Jersey for facial plastic surgery over the past 20 years, I primarily focus on cosmetic, functional, and revision rhinoplasty.

When I was younger, I performed off-Broadway and worked as a French chef. Artistic endeavors have always been in my blood, so facial plastic surgery was a perfect fit for me. My work creates a tremendous positive psychological change, enhances confidence, and improves self-worth. I really enjoy that.

I have created my own way of doing rhinoplasty, which I call my “natural nose,” to ensure that each nose fits the face. Although I perform all aspects of facial surgery, I truly enjoy performing rhinoplasty, considered the most difficult of all plastic surgery procedures to perform. In addition to cosmetic rhinoplasty, I also perform nasal surgery to address breathing issues and physical deformities. Keeping up with advances in rhinoplasty has been interesting. The latest is preservation rhinoplasty, which does not cause a lot of black-and-blue swelling. While I frequently speak on the topic of rhinoplasty and have written chapters in books about it, I also offer mini-face-lifts, eyelid-lifts, and facial rejuvenation procedures. I feel blessed to be able to see these changes that I can make in my patients.

I treat patients as if they are my family. They enjoy the very relaxed atmosphere in our Englewood office, and my staff builds such a great rapport with them. Patients can call me anytime. I am always there for them.
