Enter, Natalia Schweitzer, a licensed aesthetician, who is micro-needling certified. Micro-needling, which is a distant cousin of tattooing, is the art of applying ink to a surface layer of the skin to create a semi-permanent enhancement. Applications for eyebrows and eyeliner last 1-5 years, and are applied by hand with a special tool. Discomfort is minimal—a numbing gel is used—and the recovery time is hours to days, followed by a week or more of maintenance and a follow up treatment in four to six weeks.
