Next time you step into your favorite New Jersey eyewear shop, prepare to be wowed by blinged-out statement shades. This summer’s super-hot trends include covetable looks such as aviator, cat-eye, round, geometric and butterfly shapes; mirrored and pastel-tinted lenses (especially blue, teal, pink, orange and yellow); velvet, tortoise, faux-jewel and glitter-encrusted frames; and vintage as well as funky futuristic styles. No wonder so many of us can’t resist owning three or four pairs. Of course, the best reason to love your sunnies is for important eye protection all year around. Before you buy, read the label and make sure you’re covered with 100 percent UVA and UVB protection.
