One of New Jersey’s most-anticipated charity events, the 2017 Mansion in May Designer Showhouse and Gardens, is expected to attract upward of 30,000 home decor fans when 45+ leading designers and contractors infuse 20,000-square-foot Alnwick Hall in Morris County with eye-popping furniture, lighting, window treatments, artwork and flowers. The mansion will be open to the public every day in May.

This year’s event, which rallies 1,300 volunteers, will help establish a Center for Nursing Innovation and Research at Morristown Medical Center. Since its inception in 1974, the previous 17 mansion events have raised more than $10 million for worthwhile causes at the hospital.

Eager to see what’s happening behind the scenes? Take a virtual tour of the “Abbey” estate before the big unveiling.

Then enjoy a sneak peek at the circa-1903 mansion’s amazing architectural elements. Original stained-glass windows, hand-crafted ceiling medallions, exquisite cornices, carved woodwork and antique lawn ornaments. Although interior designers are busily updating paint, wallpaper, flooring and more, all of the historically significant architectural details will be preserved.

Open daily May 1 – May 31, from 10 am until 3 pm, the mansion is accessible via free offsite parking and shuttle service.  Parking is at 170 Park Avenue, Florham Park, 07932.
