Summer Makeup in French-Inspired Colors

We love the fun concept behind the new NARS Summer 2016 Color Collection.

NARS Summer 2016 Color Collection Liberation Dual-Intensity Blush
Dual-Intensity Blush is part of the NARS Summer 2016 Color Collection.

Why France?  “Summer is always so colorful, but not necessarily glamorous,” says NARS founder and creative director François Nars. “I love the south of France and wanted to play with the idea of a fashionable beach moment lived out through color and little escapes. Contemporary artist Konstantin Kakanias was the perfect collaborator to help turn our color stories into fantastic scenes.”

The just-launched makeup collection includes Dual-Intensity Blush in Shimmering Pink Light, Caramel Rose, Sandy Peach and Soft Raspberry. Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows wow in super-hot colors like Seashell Pink, Iridescent Periwinkle and Shimmering Teal Green. Both eyeshadow and blush can be used wet or dry. (Apply it dry for a healthy glow, or wet for a translucent, second-skin finish.)

You’ll also want to check out the Do Not Disturb Lip Color in head-turning hues like Vivid Orange-Red, Deep Dusty Rose and Desert Rose. These unique Lip Covers are unlike a gloss … they’re much richer with a bit of luster. We love the glamour!

Speaking of lip color, if you run right over to the NARS Garden State Plaza Boutique in Paramus, NJ (201-851-4795) you can snag the “member-only” Lip Cover shade, crave-worthy Crimson! It’s an exclusive cosmetic goody just for Boutique and narscosmetics.com customers for a limited time.

As François Nars says, “Mix, match and have fun. Each product offers endless opportunities for self expression. Don’t hold back. Be bold!”
