Run on Over: City Sports Store to Open in Westfield

If you're a yoga devotee, runner, cyclist or all-around athlete, you'll be happy to know that City Sports is opening its first New Jersey store in late June...

And that’s great news because it’s a premier destination for urban athletes and active lifestyle enthusiasts.

The 8,000-square-foot East Broad Street location in Westfield will carry fitness equipment, athletic shoes and apparel, electronics and a full range of equipment for everything from tennis and baseball to soccer and squash. Run on over and find the latest products from national brands, as well as City Sports’s own line of apparel.

Each year, the retailer sells more than 200,000 pairs of running shoes and 125,000 of its branded T-shirts; re-strings about 11,000 tennis racquets; hosts more than 100 neighborhood events and races; and is involved with another 200+ sponsored events throughout its many locations. City Sports also operates run clubs that log in a combined 27,000 miles annually.

City Sports was founded in Boston in 1983 and operates 23 stores on the East Cost. If you can’t wait for the new Westfield store to open in June, you can always satisfy your shopping urge at www.citysports.com.
