José Eber Opens First NJ Salon

Ooh-la-la: Beverly Hills style hits the Garden State.

If you crave a Beverly Hills beauty experience without flying to California, run on over to the brand new José Eber Salon in the Short Hills section of Millburn Township (284 Millburn Avenue). I wandered in a few days before the grand opening and got a little weak in the knees when I laid eyes on the shimmering, hip interior.

The New Jersey salon, the very first on the East Coast, mirrors the luxurious look and feel of Eber’s West Coast locations with an interior palette in shades of gray, elegant chandeliers and a competent blend of minimalist and industrial style.

For more than 40 years, José Eber has been gracing Hollywood celebrities with signature hairstyles and creating high-end beauty products. I’m sure you already know him from countless television appearances and makeover segments. José’s long-time mantra is, “I don’t make women beautiful, I show them that they already are.”

The salon will be open seven days a week and the staff (classically trained and led by Yoav Tauber José’s creative director and nephew) will provide hair, nails, makeup, lash and hair extensions, waxing and a medi-spa. Guests can also enjoy valet parking, professional car cleaning and detailing service and a customer loyalty program. (If the salon offered overnight accommodations, you would find me hiding out there for a weekend getaway.)
