On Sunday, September 20, starting at 8 a.m., the Mills at Jersey Gardens shopping center will host the 2015 Color Vibe 5K, a non-traditional race full of vivid colors and music. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Simon Youth Foundation that helps foster and improve educational opportunities, career development and life skills.
If you haven’t heard of Color Vibe, prepare to be blown away. It’s quickly gaining popularity throughout North America and Australia because participants navigate the course by running, walking or dancing their way through color stations, where vibrant biodegradable colors are splashed across the course. The amazing result is a mass tie-dye event as participants’ white outfits and costumes are splattered beyond recognition. As soon as the run ends, everyone is invited to stick around at The Mills at Jersey Gardens for a great big, colorful dance party hosted by a professional sound crew and deejay.
