Board-certified orthodontist Barbara Fodero has been providing exceptional orthodontic care to patients of all ages (adults as well as children) for more than 20 years. Her modern practice takes a conservative approach to orthodontics while staying abreast of cutting-edge advancements, including an iTero® intraoral scanner that eliminates the need for “goopy” impressions and 3-D printing for customized clear-aligner treatment. Dr. Fodero, who only uses proven and effective treatments, offers a variety of services, including traditional braces, Invisalign®, and Damon® self-ligating braces. She follows stringent sterilization protocols to protect the safety of her patients.

“I work with a highly experienced, warm, and friendly team,” says Dr. Fodero. “We operate under the Golden Rule, which is to treat our patients as we would want to be treated.” The most rewarding part of her day often comes when a patient’s appliances are removed, revealing a new, confident, and healthy smile. “It’s bittersweet,” says Dr. Fodero. “I am happy for their elation, seeing the transformation, but I am sad to see them go. I love that they come in as patients and leave as friends.”

Dr. Fodero gives back to the community through involvement in local schools, events, and sports team sponsorships. She provides complimentary orthodontic treatment to those who cannot afford braces through an organization called Smiles Change Lives.

Dr. Fodero graduated first in her class from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where she also obtained her specialty degree in orthodontics. She is a repeat New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist and New Jersey Family Favorites Kids’ Doc.
