About Christina R. Carter
As one of a small number of dentists who have earned specialty certificates in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Christina Carter is uniquely qualified to offer comprehensive care to all children, including those with special needs. With a focus on prevention, she provides patients and their families with individualized integrated plans for developing a strong dental home and beautiful healthy smiles. “I constantly monitor patients as they grow to avoid future orthodontic issues and to catch small problems early so they can be treated most effectively,” she says.
In her welcoming office, Dr. Carter and her exceptional team go the extra mile to create a positive experience, addressing children’s issues and parental concerns. Her certified therapy dog, Callie, is frequently on hand for added comfort. Patients receive state-of-the-art care through the use of advancements such as handheld X-rays with low-level radiation, BPA-free dental materials and highly efficient orthodontics for shorter treatment time.
Dr. Carter, a UMDNJ graduate, received her specialty training at NYU College of Dentistry, and completed a fellowship in cleft, craniofacial and surgical orthodontics at NYU Langone Medical Center. She is president of the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists and very active with the American Association of Orthodontists and its Donated Orthodontic Services program.
