Dr. Domenico “Mimmo” Addiego grew up in Manahawkin, and has some big shoes to fill: his father was a beloved orthodontist in town for 50 years. “My dad always told me to take care of our patients as if they were family and friends, because they are,” says Dr. Addiego.

Recognizing that not all patients are the same, he avoids a cookie-cutter approach, instead tailoring treatment, and even the music in his office, to each of them. He offers Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen® in addition to traditional and ceramic braces, selecting the approach that is right for each situation. “Although early intervention has its place in orthodontics, I don’t believe every child needs braces or an expander at age seven,” Dr. Addiego says. “There’s an optimal time to begin. Education, experience and expertise help me find that on a case-by-case basis.”

A graduate of Temple University and Boston University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Addiego completed a general practice residency at the Veterans Hospital in Philadelphia. He is a repeat New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist and a past New Jersey Family Favorite Kids’ Doc. He realizes the importance of communicating with patients and works in partnership with them to achieve the best smile possible, and the confidence that goes with it.
