“I always say to my patients that creating beautiful smiles is my passion, but providing that treatment while using the most advanced techniques as safely as possible has always been my top priority,” says Dr. George Athansios. “To be able to change people’s confidence with their smile one day at a time is very gratifying and fulfills my aspiration of providing excellent dental health care.”

Dr. George and his partner, Dr. Annemarie Athansios, are trained in advanced surgical techniques such as gum tunneling and grafting procedures, implants, sinus lifts, and ridge augmentations. They also offer advanced treatment of grinding and clenching habits.

Cutting-edge technologies have enhanced the various procedures that are offered at their practice. That includes using artificial intelligence in scans for smile designs, teeth alignment, and the placing of implants. “We can show patients the virtual placement of implants in the jaw,” says Dr. George. “We have also adopted the use of laser technology during surgery for soft-tissue grafting, to fight periodontal disease, or for implant and orthodontic surgery.”

He takes a great amount of pride in being a fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. Although Dr. George has been in practice for 18 years, his enthusiasm for education and knowledge inspired him to recently complete an advanced specialty program at the nationally recognized Rutgers School of Dental Medicine’s Department of Periodontics.
