Henna DeSimone, DDS

About Henna DeSimone

Now celebrating her 14th year as owner of a private dental practice, Dr. Henna DeSimone provides individualized care and attention to each child while always keeping their best interests at heart. “I provide parents with details on all available treatment options and help them make sure it’s the right decision for their child,” she says. “We will even walk a child through what will happen during the treatment, including seeing and touching the equipment I use, so it’s not so scary. It’s a dry run that also helps the parents as well.”

At her child-friendly office, with its colorful and bright atmosphere, Dr. DeSimone focuses primarily on establishing good dental habits for kids by the age of one, which include avoiding sugar and creating proper brushing habits. Dual board certified in pediatric dentistry and dental anesthesia, she works closely with general dentists and orthodontists in the local community.

“I want to give parents one place where they can go to get consistent information as their child grows and their treatment needs evolve,” she says. “We are a smaller practice, which allows us to really get to know our families. So if they ever do need treatment, there’s already a comfort level that’s been established.”

A graduate of NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. DeSimone completed a general residency at Hackensack University Medical Center, a fellowship in special care dentistry at the Rose F. Kennedy Center/Montefiore Medical Center, specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Staten Island University Hospital, and training in dental anesthesia at Jacobi Medical Center. In 2011, she was the founding director of the Pediatric Dental Residency Program at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, and in 2023, she was named president of the Passaic County Dental Society.
