About Irvin B. Sherman
For more than 35 years, Dr. Irvin Sherman and his team have provided exceptional dental and orthodontic care for infants, children, teens and special needs patients – always delivered in a friendly and nonthreatening manner. “Just as children need a pediatrician, they also need a pediatric dentist trained in child psychology and dental growth and development,” he says.
Dr. Sherman’s team offers one-on-one attention to foster trust with young patients and their parents. “When children start to relax in the chair, enabling them to become adults who don’t fear the dentist, I’ve done my job well,” he says. Pediatric dentists Jocelyn Jeffries-Bruno, Britni Kearns and Jason Tesoriero are part of his group. This year, he added orthodontist Martin Rabinovich to the team for the convenience of teens, along with general dentist Shira Gross to transition teens to adult dentistry. A friendly, dedicated staff helps families feel at home here. To accommodate individual needs, Dr. Sherman also sees patients at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he serves as chief of pediatric dentistry.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, Dr. Sherman completed his specialty training at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. The board-certified pediatric dentist is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. A passionate advocate of practicing dentistry with one’s heart as well as one’s hands, Dr. Sherman lectures widely on quality of care. He donates services to underprivileged children through Give Kids a Smile and Dentistry from the Heart.
