At her patient-centric practice in Ocean County, Dr. Kathy Banks has built a reputation for providing excellent care to patients of all ages. “We remain focused on creating an environment where every patient is comfortable and feels safe,” she says. “We especially cater to apprehensive patients, striving to allay their fears and concerns regarding procedures.” She believes that her staff, who are well trained in both anesthesia services and surgical care, are a huge asset to her successful practice. “They make the whole experience so much better for patients,” she says.

Dr. Banks provides a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal, and treats facial bone fractures, jaw injuries, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.

In addition to performing a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures, she also makes available cosmetic services, including Botox® and dermal fillers. She also offers RevitaliZe™, a treatment that transitions the patient from a painful, embarrassing mouth to beautiful white teeth secured onto dental implants.

In private practice for 25 years, Dr. Banks is board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery and dental anesthesia. She was admitted as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons in October 2021, distinguishing Dr. Banks as a surgeon within her profession who demonstrates a commitment to scientific knowledge, eligibility to perform surgical procedures, and continuing education.

A leader in her specialty, Dr. Banks served as president of the Monmouth–Ocean County Dental Society and was the first female president of the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. A past chair of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation, she currently serves on the OMSNIC Claims Committee.
