About Didier Demesmin
As a pain management specialist with double- board certification in anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. Didier Demesmin understands the key to a pain-free life isn’t just physical, but also mental. “I treat the whole patient,” he says. Together with his team at University Pain Medicine Center, Dr. Demesmin performs minimally invasive procedures to treat degenerative disc disease, facet joint pain, herniated discs, cancer pain, shoulder pain, headaches, arthritis and many other pain conditions.
With his continuing involvement in clinical research trials, Dr. Demesmin remains on the cutting-edge of technology and treatments. He is one of only a few doctors in New Jersey to offer Superion®, a minimally invasive procedure used to treat spinal stenosis. Done on an outpatient basis, the new technology involves the placement of interspinous spacers to address refractory pain issues. The procedure eliminates the need for repeated epidural injections or an open back surgery. He also offers Regenerative Medicine Therapy which is an all natural alternative to treat a range of injuries.
Dr. Demesmin is associate program director of the Multidisciplinary Pain Medicine Fellowship program at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute and Director of the Pain Medicine Department at Saint Peters University Hospital in New Jersey. He has also written several chapters covering minimally invasive pain procedures in multiple textbooks used by pain physicians around the world.
