About Arthur F. Fost
After more than 40 years of experience, including training allergists, lecturing to community physicians on the latest developments in the allergy field and seeing patients in his offices, Dr. Arthur Fost defines success as making his patients better, and helping them understand their allergies. “I strive to make every patient better at every encounter, whether it’s a life-threatening problem, or a quality-of-life issue,” he says.
This emphasis on the individual is a hallmark of Dr. Fost’s practice. Along with his partner and son Dr. David A. Fost, Dr. Satya D. Narisety and physician assistant Anthony J. Piccolo, he treats asthma and allergies, including food sensitivities, in all ages from infancy through senior years. Using the latest technology and a personal approach, he focuses on finding the best course of treatment for every patient, answering questions and addressing concerns along the way.
Dr. Fost’s love of learning led him to start the first allergy training program in New Jersey. Beyond the office, this frequent New Jersey Monthly Top Doctor uses his medical skills to help others around the world. He has worked with malnourished children in Ethiopia, Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip, Bedouin families in the Negev Desert, refugees in Congo and Rwanda, and Mayan Indians in Guatemala. These third-world experiences have provided valuable skills that he uses in providing a travel medicine program to patients who require immunizations and advice for foreign travel.
MEDICAL TRAINING: Jefferson Medical College; Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania; Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
