About Brian D. Beyerl

At Atlantic NeuroSurgical Specialists (ANS), the largest multidisciplinary neurosurgical practice in New Jersey, Drs. Yaron Moshel, Brian Beyerl and John Knightly are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of brain, spine and neurovascular disorders. Specializing in innovative techniques – including minimally invasive treatment strategies – they use a team approach to create personalized therapeutic treatment plans. ANS now accepts Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.

Dr. Moshel, co-director of the Gerald J. Glasser Brain Tumor Center at Overlook Medical Center and a clinical assistant professor at NYU Medical Center, is nationally recognized for advancing the treatment of brain tumors and participating in multicenter clinical trials. Utilizing the most advanced techniques, including awake brain mapping and endoscopic surgery for skull base tumors, he makes the inoperable operable for his patients.

Dr. Beyerl specializes in treating patients with brain tumors. He is co-director of the CyberKnife® stereotactic radiosurgery program at Atlantic Health – the first of its kind in New Jersey – offering noninvasive treatment for brain tumors. Dedicated to patient advocacy, he co-founded the ANS Center for Hope brain tumor support group in the state.

Dr. Knightly, director of the ANS Spine Center and vice chairman of Atlantic Neuroscience Institute, specializes in the treatment of complex spine disorders. He uses a multidisciplinary approach to “total” spine care – including rehab, physical therapy and occupational therapy – and designs personalized treatment plans which often do not require surgery. Dr. Knightly is pioneering the use of data analytics and clinical informatics, a powerful tool that helps identify the right treatment for the right patient at the right time based on individual needs and national outcomes.
