Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Goldson-Prophete focuses on cardiovascular health, diabetes management, and weight-loss management, using the latest technology to enhance her patient’s sense of well-being. The newest piece of technology employed by Dr. Goldson-Prophete is the EMSELLA® chair. “We’re very excited about it,” she says. “It’s FDA-cleared to treat urinary incontinence in men and women by stimulating pelvic floor muscles. This painless treatment takes place during six weekly 30-minute sessions, and we’ve seen dramatic improvements in patients.”

Interactions with patients and the relationships she has formed with them remain the favorite part of the job for Dr. Goldson-Prophete, an assistant clinical professor at Rutgers NJ Medical School since 2002. “I have patients who have known me for close to 30 years, and now I’m starting to treat a second generation of patients,” she says. “I’ve always taken it as the biggest compliment when people refer their family members to me.”
