About Frederick Alexander
For three decades, Dr. Frederick Alexander has built a solid reputation in pediatric surgery based on great care and stellar outcomes. Over the years he has honed his clinical and surgical skills and has become an acknowledged expert in many areas, including Hirschsprung’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease and pectus excavatum (sunken chest).
Before arriving in Bergen County in 2007, Dr. Alexander was appointed a full clinical professor of surgery by Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic, where he served as chief of pediatric surgery for 15 years.
Perennially named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. and a recipient of the Vitals Patients’ Choice Award, he was also recently ranked top pediatric surgeon among 30 in New Jersey by Healthgrades. Dr. Alexander has also been named by 201 Health Magazine as a Bergen Top Doctor.
