Dr. Michael Bilof has made treating obesity the hallmark of Garden State Bariatrics and Wellness Center (GSBWC), the practice he founded in 2007. As GSWBC continues to evolve with current advances in medicine, he remains progressive and forward-thinking in his approach to the obesity epidemic in the country, as evidenced by now offering non-surgical options.

“Even though I have been practicing bariatric surgery for more than 20 years and still passionately believe it is the most effective treatment for obesity, non-surgical treatments will now be an integral part of our practice,” says Dr. Bilof, who works with long-term practice partner Dr. Basil Yurcisin. “There are new medicines available that are remarkably effective and safe. We feel this is an appropriate and timely addition to our practice, making it a true one-stop shop for all treatments related to obesity and the associated medical conditions.”

Dr. Bilof serves as section chief of bariatric surgery at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, where he also performs pro bono work for those in need.
