Dr. M. Michele Blackwood, chief of the Department of Breast Surgery, completed her fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and is affiliated with Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center’s esteemed breast cancer department, where she also mentors residents. Women appreciate her compassion and thoroughness.

Dr. Blackwood examines the whole patient, including her family history and lifestyle, to arrive at an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. “I believe in overall health and wellness, not only for breast cancer care, but also for the rest of your life,” she says.
