Safe Santa is on his jolly way to Bridgewater, N.J.’s Bridgewater Commons located in Somerset County.
The more than 1.2 million square foot shopping, dining and entertainment destination announced today Safe Santa Celebration will welcome children of all ages for safe, socially-distanced visits and photos via a reimagined, no-touch walk-though experience filled with holiday magic, surprise and wonder.
Located in Center Court on the mall’s Lower Level, visits to Safe Santa Celebration will begin Monday, Nov 16 through Thursday, Dec 24. To maintain appropriate Covid-19 safety measures and social-distancing procedures, those wishing to visit Santa will be required to wear face coverings and make an appointment in advance.
Visit the Bridgewater Commons’ website at www.bridgewatercommons.com to book a reservation. Not only will families be able to enter their child’s first name when they make an appointment, but will have the opportunity to include special gifts straight from their wish lists, too. Select hours have been reserved for live Virtual Santa appointments via Zoom, as well.
The Safe Santa Celebration Journey
Set amongst 25 garland-topped light curtains (each adorned with more than 10,000 white, glistening lights) and candy-cane inspired twists cascading from high above, Safe Santa Celebration will feature an authentic Kris Kringle perched in his grand velvet chair on an elevated platform set seven feet behind his adoring guests. A bright and cheery, red photo frame sits in front of the famed wish- fulfiller proclaiming “Holiday Joy.”
When guests enter the winter wonderland queued with snowflake-embellished, social-distancing floor markers, they’ll also find a holiday-themed sanitizing station that helps make keeping hands clean fun.
Check-in follows to let Santa know his guests have arrived for their pre-reserved visit and then the magic really begins. Imagine the unexpected surprise when The Big Guy personally greets each good girl and boy by name correctly guessing just what it is they are wishing for this year!
What’s more, in order to make sure Santa and his guests can hear each other clearly during their entire time together, Bridgewater Commons’ custom Santa-COM solution – a two-way, high-end wireless communications system with headset, microphone and speaker — allows for voices to be amplified as to not allow even one special wish or word be missed.
Pet Photo Schedule
Dogs and cats are welcome at Safe Santa Celebration, too, and also are required to make a reservation. Those interested in rewarding their trusted family friends to an annual pet photo with Santa may do so every Monday from Nov 16 through Dec 16, 5 pm to close.
