The Downbeach Seafood Festival


After the phenomenal first year of The Downbeach Seafood Festival at its new home at Ventnor’s Ski Beach in 2019, the event will be returning for a two-day seafood extravaganza on September 18 & 19, 2021! The fun will begin at 11:00 AM and end at 7:00 PM both days!

Once again, the team at Good Team Tricycle Productions will transform Ventnor’s Ski Beach into a seafood lover’s dream featuring approximately 25-30 different local and regional seafood restaurants and purveyors who will be serving up their favorite seafaring dishes!

With the majority of the restaurants attending being brick and mortar Atlantic County restaurants, The Downbeach Seafood festival will give attendees the opportunity to experience this seaside community as a culinary destination. It is also a great opportunity for foodies and food seekers to meet some of Atlantic County’s most unique chefs and restaurateurs all while eating their tasty creations. From clams to calamari, oysters to ahi, and even alligator too, The Downbeach Seafood Festival will have it all!

The Downbeach Seafood Festival will give attendees a reason to spend the day at the Jersey Shore by highlighting the fantastic dining options this coastal area has to offer. Whether it’s trying the vast selection of local restaurants, sipping Jersey made craft beers, cooking with local chefs, shopping unique exhibitors, or playing in the sand, you will find yourself immersed in The Downbeach Seafood Festival and all it has to offer.

The Downbeach Seafood Festival happens to fall during National Hunger Action Month, a nationwide Feeding America campaign, challenging the public to take action to help solve the issue of hunger in America! In honor of National Hunger Action Month, The Downbeach Seafood Festival will support the Community Food Bank of New Jersey through the widely-popular Chowder Cook-Off in which all proceeds benefit the Food Bank! This cook-off will allow participants to sample chowder from some of the finest restaurants Atlantic County has to offer as they stroll the festival and decide what they are going to feast on! Through the Chowder Cook-Off, the Festival and its restaurants, our goal is to raise over $5,000 which is the equivalent of 15,000 meals distributed throughout the Garden State!

Programming for The Downbeach Seafood Festival includes Children’s activities and amusements, live Sand Sculpting / Kids Sand Sculpting area, Live Music, Complimentary Demos and Seminars, The Great Brews of NJ Tasting Tent, a Crab Cake Eating Competition and the Chowder Cook-Off benefiting the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, just to name a few.

The entry fee for The 2021 Downbeach Seafood Festival is $10 per person, with children 12 and under being FREE. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at The 11:00 entry time is reserved for online ticket purchasers so get your tickets today and get a jump-start on your seafood journey! Anyone purchasing tickets at the gate will be allowed entry at 12:00pm. Parking will be available at a remote lot located on Wellington Avenue with complimentary shuttle service to and from the festival.
