Alzheimer’s New Jersey® kicks off its 2018 Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s® events this Fall with locations in Ocean, Hudson, Mercer and Bergen Counties as well as a new walk location in Morris County. One hundred percent of the funds raised from Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s support Garden State individuals and families through Alzheimer’s New Jersey’s programs and services.
Alzheimer’s New Jersey is not affiliated with a national charity and is a local resource for programs and services that assist those living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia and their caregivers in New Jersey. New Jersey residents rely on Alzheimer’s New Jersey for personal and confidential assistance, guidance, relief from caregiving, emotional support and education, safety awareness, and clinical trial opportunities as they face the emotional and financial challenges of Alzheimer’s disease that can often be overwhelming.
Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s teams are made up of families, friends, and co-workers who come together to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s New Jersey programs and services, as well as research. Corporate, company and individual sponsorships are welcome.
Registration for each event begins at 8:30 a.m., with the walk beginning at 10:00 a.m. T-shirts will be distributed to all participants who raise a minimum of $50. There is no fee to register. In addition to the walk, all events will include food, music, prizes and activities for children.
