Adam Sandler Is Living in Short Hills While Filming Grown Ups 3

Adam Sandler is back in Jersey to film his latest flick.

Adam Sandler, who has stayed in the Garden State on and off over the last couple of years while shooting various film projects, is living in Jersey yet again while working on his latest movie, Grown Ups 3, sources exclusively tell New Jersey Monthly.

We’re told that Sandler, 59, is living in Short Hills with his family while working on the Netflix film, co-starring Sandler pals like Chris Rock, David Spade, Kevin James and Rob Schneider.

Also living in North Jersey during filming are Salma Hayek Pinault and Maya Rudolph, who’s here with her husband, the director Paul Thomas Anderson, and their kids.

We hear that director Kyle Newacheck—who also directed Sandler in last year’s Happy Gilmore 2—is living in Montclair during the shoot. He is a creator of the Comedy Central show Workaholics, which he also co-starred in, and is a producer and director of the comedy horror series What We Do in the Shadows.

Sandler has been seen filming around downtown Madison, showing his signature nice-guy charm by taking pictures with fans and signing autographs. The production also shot scenes at the Madison Hotel in Morristown, and cast members were seen dining at popular pizzeria Coniglio’s Old Fashioned in downtown Morristown.

The movie has been filming in New Jersey this month and will continue through September.

The premise of the third Grown Ups flick centers on the friends’ kids, who are now fully grown adults. With their children grown up, the group of lifelong friends finally has the freedom to go on one major, unbothered road trip and adventure together.

Netflix has not yet announced an official premiere date.

Last year, Sandler stayed in Montclair while in Jersey to film the Netflix comedy Don’t Say Good Luck, starring his daughter Sunny Sandler. He was also in North Jersey in 2024 while shooting the Happy Gilmore sequel, which filmed at various Jersey golf courses and facilities, including Montclair Golf Club, Closter Golf Center, Fiddler’s Elbow country club in Bedminster, Essex Golf Center in Roseland, Rockleigh Golf Course, and Farmview Golf Center in Hackettstown. During his off time, Sandler checked out local spots like Goldberg’s World Famous Deli & Bagels in Millburn, the French restaurant Faubourg in Montclair and the coffee shop Lokl Café in Morristown.

“We were very excited about it. It was a nice surprise,” Lokl owner Panos Stogioglou told us at the time. “He was super friendly and was there for a long time, taking pictures with all the staff.”
