NORTH JERSEY

Benares, Wyckoff

Benares is open on New Year’s Eve—and New Year’s Day—for dine-in meals and takeout orders. Vegan and vegetarian options abound.

Blu on the Hudson, Weehawken

Kick off 2024 with dancing, a live DJ, an open bar, food and a Champagne toast when the ball drops. Two ticket tiers are offered at $300 and $500 per guest. 

Calandra’s il Vecchio Café, Caldwell

Make it a New Year’s Eve to remember with this restaurant’s offerings of an a la carte dining menu from 11:30 am-3 pm, followed by a family buffet from 5-7 pm ($75 per adult; $25 for children 4-12; free for children 4 and under), and capped off with an adults-only celebration with Champagne toasts and dancing from 8:30 pm to closing ($110 per adult; ages 21+). Call to reserve a spot.

Crystal Springs Resort, Hamburg

There are 12 extravagant celebrations happening at one of New Jersey’s top resorts. Recover the next day with on-site brunch.

Felina, Ridgewood

Enjoy a three-course meal ($90+ per adult; $30+ per child under 12) or four-course meal ($120+ per adult; $40+ per child under 12) at Felina. The holiday menu includes an antipasti starter followed by a main course and dessert, and the four-course menu includes a Champagne toast at midnight. The three-course menu will be served from 5-8 pm, and the four-course menu will be served from 9 pm-closing. Reservations can be made online.

Downtown Morristown, Morristown

Hosted by a nonprofit of the same name, First Night Morris County is an alcohol- and substance-free celebration of arts and culture, featuring 70 performances across 20 venues in downtown Morristown, plus free shuttles and parking. The evening-long event is perfect for families, seniors, singles and anyone looking for a good time to celebrate the arts and the new year.

Halifax, Hoboken

This restaurant is pulling out all the stops for its New Year’s Eve celebration. From 6:30-8:30 pm, the first seating will feature an a la carte menu, followed by a prix-fixe menu second seating ($254 per person) from 9:30 pm-1:30 am. There will also be a four-hour premium bar, a raw bar, charcuterie and cheese, a carving station, a seven-piece live band by GROOVE and much more.

Maddy Rose, Jersey City

The three-course holiday menu includes an appetizer, main course and dessert. Reservations, between 4 and 7 pm, can be made online. Dinner is $90+ for adults; there’s a separate $30+ menu for children 12 and under.

Montclair Brewery, Montclair

Wear your finest snow-colored attire to the brewery’s Winter White New Year’s Eve Party. Highlights include 24 craft drinks (including new stouts and non-alcoholic beverages) and live music from local bands. Tickets are $55.

Samba, Montclair

Samba is open on New Year’s Eve for brunch (noon-3 pm) and dinner (5-8 pm)—plus New Year’s Day for lunch (noon-3 pm) and dinner (5-9:30 pm). It wil be offering its regular Brazilian-inspired menu items such as a Caprese salad appetizer, skirt steak and pulled-pork sliders.

The Shannon Rose, Clifton

From 4-7 pm, at the Kids’ Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party, face painters, balloons and bagpipers will entertain the kids. At 7 pm, they’ll ring in the new year as the clock strikes midnight in Dublin.

The Shannon Rose, Clifton & Ramsey

From 9 pm to 1 am, live music, a four-hour open bar and dinner are on the agenda. In Clifton, choose between drinks only or drinks with a three-course dinner. In Ramsey, enjoy drinks and a four-course dinner. Both locations will celebrate with a Champagne toast at midnight.

Spuntino Wine Bar, Clifton

Enjoy a New Year’s Eve tasting menu of dishes like roasted oysters, potato-crusted halibut and merlot-poached pears. An optional wine pairing is available for an additional $25. Seatings are at 5 and 7:30 pm.

Ventanas, Fort Lee

Ventanas, a modern American, Asian and Latin fusion restaurant and lounge, will be celebrating the new year all day long on New Year’s Eve. There’s an a la carte brunch from noon-3 pm, a four-course prix-fixe dinner with three seating times between 4 pm and midnight, and a masquerade ball starting at 10 pm. Dinner will also be served on New Year’s Day from 4-9 pm. 

CENTRAL JERSEY

Asbury Lanes, Asbury Park

Get into a New Year’s groove at this iconic Jersey venue with the Gruv Guardians, a performance ensemble that’s performed with the likes of Elton John, Janet Jackson and Beyoncé. From 8:30 pm to 12:30 am, enjoy the show and an open bar. Regular tickets are $75; VIP tickets are $125. Both can be purchased online.

Gladstone Tavern, Gladstone

Dinner and live music from local band Twilight Disciples are on the agenda at Gladstone Tavern—a favorite among NJM readers—from 9 am to midnight. The menu will include New Year’s Eve cocktails, starters, entrées and dessert.

The Loaded Spoon, Freehold

This restaurant—transformed into a holiday-themed pop-up bar for the season—is offering a four-course prix-fixe dinner menu ($75 per person) on New Year’s Eve from 4 pm-midnight. Tickets are $50; reservations can be made online.

Moghul, Edison

Moghul, which serves fine Indian cuisine, is open on New Year’s Eve—and New Year’s Day—for lunch and dinner.

Orchard Park by David Burke, East Brunswick

Located inside the Chateau Grande Hotel, Orchard Park will be offering a New Year’s Eve dinner with two seating slots. The first includes a prix-fixe menu, and the second includes a three-course prix-fixe dinner, a Champagne toast at midnight, a DJ and photo booth. The fun continues into New Year’s Day with a la carte brunch and dinner offerings. 

The Pluckemin Inn, Bedminster

Executive chef Jason Ramos is preparing a special New Year’s Eve prix-fixe menu ($169 per person) with four courses, featuring such items as butter-poached lobster and Champagne mousse. The dinner will be offered from 4-10 pm.

Red Horse, Rumson

The restaurant’s New Year’s Eve celebration ($120 per person) includes a three-course dinner, Champagne toast and midnight countdown. Dinner  begins at 5 pm.

Red Horse by David Burke at Bernards Inn, Bernardsville

Celebrity chef David Burke took over operations at the classic Bernards Inn earlier this year. To wind down 2023, the restaurant is offering an evening featuring an all-night open bar, a cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres, a three-course prix-fixe meal, music and entertainment, dancing and a midnight Champagne toast ($300 per person; 8 pm to 1 am). This event is for ages 21+.

State Theatre New Jersey, New Brunswick

State Theatre New Jersey’s “Salute to Vienna” concert promises an enchanting evening of music and dance.

Stone House, Warren

Choose between a three-course meal ($90+ per adult; $30+ per child under 12) or a four-course meal ($120+ per adult; $40+ per child under 12). The three-course menu will be served from 5-8 pm, and the four-course menu—which includes a midnight Champagne toast—will be served from 9 pm-closing. Reservations can be made online.

SOUTH JERSEY

Beach Plum Farm, Cape May

Enjoy a five-course farm-to-table dinner at Beach Plum Farm (a spot that appears on NJM’s 52 Things You Must Do in New Jersey feature). The menu includes seasonal dishes made with farm-raised meats and hand-harvested produce and herbs. The BYOB meal (6-9 pm; best enjoyed by adults 21+) is $225 per guest.

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar at Tropicana, Atlantic City

Enjoy an a la carte dinner from 3-8 pm. Additional seatings for ages 21+ are at 9, 9:30 and 10 pm. Guests can also participate in late-night admission—featuring a Champagne toast, dancing, music and party favors. Drink packages are available. 

Dooney’s Pub, Delran

New Jerseyans with Philly pride: Head to Dooney’s Pub starting at 1 pm to celebrate the last day of the year, enjoy food and drink specials, and cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles as they take on the Arizona Cardinals.

Good Dog Bar, Atlantic City

Enjoy karaoke, a live DJ, dancing and an open bar at this AC establishment from 9 pm to 1 am. Tickets are available online for $65, or at the door for $75.

Harbor Pines Golf Club, Egg Harbor Township

An elegant New Year’s Eve dinner will feature gourmet appetizers, entrées, desserts and specialty cocktails—plus live music, entertainment and dancing. Reservation slots begin at 5:30 pm; the last available slot is at 8:30 pm.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City

Celebrate the new year with Pitbull, known for hit tunes like “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” and “Timber.” Catch him on Saturday, December 30, at 8 pm and Sunday, December 31, at 10 pm. 

Nola’s Bar & Lounge at Ocean Casino Resort, Atlantic City

Spend a night at Nola’s, featuring a hosted bar (9 pm to midnight), a complimentary Champagne toast and live music all night long. Advanced tickets are recommended.

Nunzio by Chef Michael DeLone, Collingswood

This Italian restaurant is offering a special prix-fixe menu from 3-9:30 pm, featuring such items as gnocchi with truffle cream, scallop ravioli, chicken piccata, espresso-roasted ribeye and much more. The menu is $95 per person; reservations can be made by phone or online.

The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort, Atlantic City

DJ Chris Devine will usher in the new year. A three-hour open bar goes from 8 to 11 pm; general-admission partying begins at 11 pm and goes until 3 am. There’s a Champagne toast at midnight.

Premier Nightclub at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Atlantic City

DJ Gareth Emery will have you dancing into 2024. Doors open at 10 pm. 

The Yard at Bally’s, Atlantic City

This indoor/outdoor venue is throwing “One Big Party” to celebrate 2024. A $75 package includes an open bar and hors d’oeuvres from 9-11 pm, followed by a cash bar, beer specials and live music that stretches until 4 am.
