Daily Provisions, Jersey City
The opening of Daily Provisions in Jersey City’s Arts & Powerhouse Building marks its first foray outside New York City, where it currently has eight locations. Diners can look forward to an all-day menu of signature crullers, made-to-order salads, soups, and sandwiches, in addition to entrées like roast chicken or seared salmon with seasonal sides. It will be open daily, from 7 am to 9 pm.
Sleepwalker Coffee, Englewood
Sleepwalker Coffee is a new independent café with high-quality coffee and baristas who boast more than a decade of experience. Using beans from respected Jersey roaster Maiden Coffee, it offers espresso drinks, drip coffee and seasonal specialties. “Our goal is to create a space where people can enjoy exceptional coffee, thoughtfully sourced and expertly prepared,” says Justin Seiller, one of the lead baristas.Whether you’re here for a quick espresso or to linger over a pour-over, we want Sleepwalker to feel like home.”
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, North Brunswick
The fifth New Jersey location of this chain restaurant will open soon. Freddy’s offers made-to-order steakburgers, fries and frozen custard.
Meltemi Greek Restaurant, Ridgewood
This spot has a Greek-island theme and a focus on dishes from the island of Kalymnos.
