Celebrating Things that Go “Bark” in the Night at Dog Walk of the Dead

At Dog Walk of the Dead in Sussex County, canine lovers and their furry friends dress up for a Howl-O-Ween affair.

What takes a party to the next level? Dogs, of course. Both humans and hounds can have fun at Dog Walk of the Dead on October 21 in the Richards Building at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta. This fifth annual Halloween celebration benefits One Step Closer Animal Rescue (OSCAR) in Sparta. From 11 am-4 pm pooches and people can visit the pet-themed vendors, listen to live music, participate in costume contests, walk in the pooch parade and make new friends. Some animals will also be available for adoption. Admission is $3 for adults and free for children. Bring donations of pet products to help stuff a hearse full of goodies for OSCAR.
