Montgomery

Montgomery didn’t sink. The others rose. OK?

Did Montgomery HS really sink from #10 in 2010 to #61 now? Is that accurate?

Is this correct

Why is this listing very different from the listing in us news and world, and Newsweek which list bridgewater-raritan at 34 and 350 in the nation. Why doesn’t this come close to matching?

Hunterdon Central

What happened? These rankings seem inaccurate. Princeton, Montgomery, Hunterdon Central are listed in the top 30 on other lists. Why is this list so different. What is being evaluated?

Basis?

The question that should be asked is what data was used to create this?

Ranking of Union City High School

Between 2010 and 2012 This school which includes students from Union Hill H.S. and Emerson H.S went from the mid-28o in 2010 to the mid 330 in 2012. This is an Abbot District and has had many thousands of dollars poured into it and it still fails to improve. Maybe it has more to do with parent involvement than money because in virtually every district where the students do well the primary reason given is supportive parents. If the parents don’t make sure their kids are doing what they are suppossed to be doing all the money in the world will not help. What a sad situation.

Messed up ranking/rating

Princeton 59? West Windsor 32?? East Brunswick 121??? JP 80???? Montgomery 61????? This "rating" is totally messed up and does not look credible at all! Either data was inaccurate, or method was incorrect, or something!

Summit

Summit went up to #15? Why don’t they factor in students going to top schools, hardly any of Summit’s graduate go to Ivies compared to other schools in the area.

School district hype

This is time for realization. Don’t try to gauge now on what basis this has been ranked out? When the schools ranking were higher, paid so much premium for houses. Now take the bite. Think in a way that what exactly they are teaching in schools and how effective that is instead of purely dependant on rankings.r

AP tests vs IB tests

Your methodology consistently indicates that the number of "AP tests" is a criteria. Do International Baccalaureate tests factor into the results? Have they been considered or are they excluded from the analysis?

LHS

I totally don’t understand how this evaluation is being done.it doesn’t seam right to me and it completely does not make sense.I live in Linden. My daughter just graduated from LHS.Got full scholarship to Rider. All of her friends went to good colleges, and their friends and the neighborhood kids.I actually didn’t hear of one kid not going continuing education. On this list here LHS is 325..One of the worst in NJ.Now..LHS has the biggest ROTC unit in East Coast, nearly every year the larger Honor Society, one of two in NJ IB program where A on final diploma excuse kids from freshman classes in college. Kids are winning Bill Gates life scholarship among 60k competitors. Exchange programs with China,Spain,Italy,France,Germany etc.Drama club with 2 plays running every year.Amazing Marching band. Those Kids and their hard work and dedications took 1 place in 2013 National Competition in percussion and 10th place overall going against teams from high rating schools. Winning football team And so much more..How can this list be a reliable information about school system? On what grounds? In school of more then couple of thousand students? Because of dropouts, because some kids avoid testing or choose not to test good???Because some parents don’t care or don’t have time to help their kids ? Is that the school or teachers fault? This list makes so much damage. This list is putting this town in a horrible position. Scares people away.Make people leave.I am in disbelief that something like that is even possible. Yes.We all should leave and create new Detroit here.

columbia high

well I don’t really know much about the schools here cause I just came here last year but from what I have seen Columbia is not at the right place its one of the best top ten schools in NJ it is excellent in every way...sports, education, arts, name it its an all-rounder.
