About Dr. Tanveer Janjua
I follow the principles of Competence, Care and Compassion. You have to be good at what you do, but it is just as important to be in touch with the human aspect of any surgery. My goal is to be with the patient through the whole process, right from the consult and all the way to complete recovery. Once you become a patient at Janjua Facial Surgery, it’s like coming home. You become a part of our family. My staff and I are dedicated to ensuring an amazing experience for every patient.
A prospective patient needs to know that I am really good at what I do. I don’t mean that in an arrogant way, but rather to reassure the patient that they will be in good hands. Initially, I wanted to do head and neck cancer surgery, but it was emotionally taxing. I wanted to do technically challenging surgery that made people happy. Facial plastic surgery fits that description well. I have also worked on developing a medical device to stop nosebleeds and currently hold a patent for it, which I am very proud of.
My love of photography and videography has helped me build a following of 35,000 people on YouTube. I make educational videos which help my patients with their surgical preparation and recovery. I have also been fortunate to get recognition at a national level for promoting a nose procedure called “alarplasty,” which narrows wide nostrils to help soften the large nose appearance.
I feel the most gratified when a patient has a big smile on their face. So many times a patient will be so happy that they ask me for a hug or want to take a selfie with me. That makes my day.
I spend my free time with my wife and three daughters. They are the center of my world. I also love to meditate and work on medical device inventions.
