The “Jerseylicious” Look

I admit that I love the Jersey-based reality shows. So when the opportunity came to celebrate the 24th birthday of Tracy DiMarco of the Style Network’s Jerseylicious, my coworker and I were more than excited to go.

Dressed to impress, we arrived to the event, held recently at the Loft at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, and along with over 100 or so other guests, were treated to live performances by DJ Mezo, DJ Eddie Tully, and recording artist Ceresia. But the standout for me was the Tracy DiMarco look-a-like fashion show.

Anyone who watches the reality show, which is set at Green Brook’s Gatsby Salon, knows that Tracy and her associates favor many fun and stylish outfits. And the fashion show on Sunday lived up to all my expectations.

Tracy’s celebrity stylist Meital B. of ReveBoutique.com created about two-dozen different looks, including fun prints, with glitter and sparkle aplenty. Models took to the catwalk to strut their stuff in the glamorous—and very Jerseylicious—garments.

One of my favorites was a monochromatic pairing of gold sequined shorts and a leopard and rose printed, long sleeve blouse. I can’t say I’ll be recreating the look any time soon, but I think it’s fun and flirty, and a different take on a going-out outfit.

Tracy, decked in a hot pink, long-sleeved maxi-dress, was fun, friendly and approachable, taking pictures with her family and fans throughout the event, and giving interviews to the media. (Check out Ashley J. Cerasaro’s interview with Tracy, and her Jerseylicious costars Anthony Lombardi and Gigi Liscio on Park Place’s website.)

The icing on the cake (hot pink of course) to all the enjoyment—portions of the proceeds from Tracy’s birthday event will be going to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
