Beach Ball Drop in Atlantic City
May 24-27: All weekend long, the Atlantic City Boardwalk will buzz with contests, games, giveaways and music. For the main event on Friday at 5 pm, in front of Resorts Casino, more than 5,000 colorful beach balls will pour out of giant nets over the Boardwalk. This year’s special guest? Emmy-winning actor Kelsey Grammer.

May 24–27: Head to the beach at Rio Grande Avenue for this free annual spectacle. Weekend festivities will begin with the Unlocking of the Beach ceremony on Friday and end with the World Indoor Kite Competition and Performance on Monday.
Wildwood Memorial Day Weekend
May 24-27: On Friday, work out with Boot Camp Circuit Training. On Saturday, attend the kickoff of the Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market, with more than 70 vendors. On Sunday, bring the family to the Wildwood Food Truck & Music Festival
Memorial Beach Challenge for 31 Heroes in Ocean City
May 25: The sand course features Navy SEAL–approved obstacles. The main competition is followed by a kids’ fun run. All proceeds benefit 31 Heroes, an organization that supports service members, veterans and their families.
Bradley Beach Memorial Day Fest
May 25–26: Tunes from bands and DJs fill the air, craft and food vendors set up shop, and kids have fun with sand art and water slides. A parade on Saturday begins at 10 am.
Highlands Annual Seaport Craft Show
May 26: Find a delightful array of handmade crafts at this rain-or-shine bazaar at Huddy Park. More than 60 artisans will sell their works from 10 am to 5 pm.
Stone Harbor Turtle Trot
May 26: Come out of your shell to join this annual event! The race is named after the diamondback terrapins that famously cross Stone Harbor roads in search of a nesting area. A portion of proceeds benefits the Diamond Terrapin Program at the Wetlands Institute. 8 am; $25–$35.
Viking Village’s Art and Craft Show in Barnegat Light, LBI
May 26: At this free, rain-or-shine event, browse selling art, photography, ceramics, clothing and accessories. 10 am-4:30 pm.
Cape May Music Festival
May 26–June 23: Enjoy classical music, jazz and more at this summer series. The event kicks off with a free performance by the Atlantic Brass Band at Rotary Park on May 26.
Margate Mothers Memorial Day Parade
May 27: Uniformed groups and decorated bikes/strollers will march in this short procession to honor both fallen and current members of the military. A ceremony will follow.
